We are a yoga alliance accredited school (RYS-200). As part of our 200-hour teacher training, you will be required to attend 5 classes a week, to journal, evaluate classes and attend one-on-one sessions with your teachers to design and develop a personal practice. You will be asked to complete a special project that incorporates your yoga journey with the community. This can be discussed in further detail as our work together progresses.
Some of the areas you will be working in are:
Physiology and Anatomy
You will explore many yoga styles including:
Bikram (Hot Yoga)
Aerial Yoga (you will not gain credentials to teach it)
Ashtanga (Power Yoga)
Yoga for Seniors
You can study as many or as few of these styles as you like depending on your interests.
We typically hold study sessions after a class for an hour or two.
Weekly study sessions with Jack and myself depends on individual schedules from week to week.
The training will take from 9 months to a year to complete.
At the time of completion you will receive a certificate from Fit To Be Tied Yoga as a 200-hour certified yoga teacher. The fee for our time and expertise is $2,000.00. Please note there is a $1,000.00 down payment when you come to the first teaching session with us. The remainder is due after the 100 hour training milestone.
We charge an additional $80.00 per month payable at the beginning of each month so that you can enjoy unlimited classes as long as you are in training.
(A requirement for this training is that you have at least 2 years of personal yoga practice with a yoga teacher.)
